After receiving mixed reviews from the audience and critics alike, Bhanu Pratap Singh’s directorial Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship starring Vicky Kaushal has opened to a decent start at the box office. According to a trade website, the film has garnered Rs 5 crore on its first Friday. Although it could not surpass Vicky’s last year’s release URI: The Surgical Strike’s Day 1 collection. URI had collected Rs 8.20 crore on its first day.

Although’s Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship’s box office collection is decent, given that it released on a partial holiday of Mahashivratri it could have fetched more moolah. However, the film has not worked very well in the North multiplexes. The film also stars Bhumi Pednekar in a cameo appearance.
