Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is holding firm at the box office with Tuesday collections dropping only slightly to 5% from Monday. Co-directed by Kangana and Krish Jagarlamudi, the film is based on the life of Rani Laxmi Bai and has opened to positive reviews and has impressed the audience. The film has already crossed the Rs 50 crore mark at the box office and crossed Rs 2 million in international markets.
Besides Kangana, the film also stars Ankita Lokhande, Jisshu Sengupta, Nihaar Pandya, Danny Denzongpa, Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub, Atul Kulkarni, Richard Keep, Suresh Oberoi and Vaibhav Tatwawaadi.

Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam starrer URI: The Surgical Strike is a global hit and not looking to stop at the box office anytime soon. The film is based on surgical strikes carried out by the Indian Army in 2016 on Pakistan occupied Kashmir. The film has been appreciated by the audience and critics tremendously. The film nears Rs 5 million mark in the global market and in India it has fetched a cool Rs 164.10 crore.

On the other hand, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Amrita Rao starrer Thackeray which is based on the life of late Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray is witnessing a continuous downfall in the collections at the box office. The Marathi version was doing a tad better than the Hindi version which is going nowhere with its collection.

According to a trade portal, the film has raked in Rs 1.20 crore for the Hindi version on its fifth day. The film’s collection has dropped to 20-25% from Monday and has raked in only Rs 13.05 crore in five days. The lifetime business of the film in all formats is expected to close under Rs 30 crore mark. The film has been directed by Abhijeet Panse and written by Sanjay Raut.
