Sanju Box Office: The Ranbir Kapoor film to go past PK after beating Tiger Zinda Hai

Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanju is now the fourth highest grossing Hindi film. The Rajkumar Hirani's directorial has beaten Salman Khan's Tiger Zinda Hai, to achieve this feat at the Box Office.

The film is a biopic on actor Sanjay Dutt and has set the cash register ringing at the BO. In fact, apart from being Ranbir's highest grossing film, it is also close to surpass the lifetime collection of Hirani's highest grossing film -- PK. The Aamir Khan starrer stands at an amount of Rs 340. 8 crore. Sanju has already raked in a whopping Rs 339. 75 crore and it's just a matter of an official announcement today, July 31, that it will become the third highest grossing Hindi film after Dangal (Rs 387. 38 crore) and Baahubali: The Conclusion (Rs 510. 00 crore), which was dubbed in Hindi.

The film has been holding well at the Box Office for over a month now. It's business got divided with the release of Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Kapoor starrer Dhadak, and later with Hollywood's mega release, Mission: Impossible 6 -- Fallout. However, seems like Sanju has got another few days of good run at the BO until Akshay Kumar's GOLD and John Abraham's Satyameva Jayate hit the screens on August 15.

The three films that are releasing in between, on August 3rd -- Mulk, Fanney Khan and Karwaan, don't appear to be challenging Sanju's position at the ticket window.

Meanwhile, here's a week-wise breakup of the film's performance:

Week 1: Rs 202. 51 cr
Week 2: Rs 92. 67 cr
Week 3: Rs 31. 62 cr
Week 4: Rs 10. 48 cr
Weekend 5: Rs 2. 47 cr
Total: Rs 339. 75 cr

It will now be interesting to see where does the Sanju-wave ends at the Box Office!
