Tiger Zinda Hai: Unstoppable Salman roars towards Rs.300 crore mark

The good times continue to roll for Tiger Zinda Hai. The Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif starrer is emerging as the second-highest worldwide grosser of 2017 after Baahubali: The Conclusion. Inspired by real events, this sequel to the blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger is an espionage action thriller, which follows an adventurous rescue mission in Iraq. The collections of the film are considerable, despite the fact that the film did not release in a few sections in UAE and Pakistan which is a huge market for Indian movies.

This Ali Abbas Zafar directorial is poised to become the biggest net grosser for Salman, as is expected to cross the Rs.300 crore mark over the weekend.

Speaking about the film's success at the box office, Salman said, “For us, it is the audiences' love and reactions that matter the most, and we feel overwhelmed with the love that Tiger Zinda Hai has garnered…Tiger Zinda Hai is my second film with Ali Abbas Zafar, and I am looking forward to working with him again.”

The 52-year-old star is now eager for more hard-core action in his films, after performing some high octane sequences in the film. He maintained, “I can't do handstands, or put my body upside down. But, apart from that, I can easily pull off quick movements, like forward and back somersault, or floor rolls. My body is like a diesel engine, ek baar garam ho gaya toh chalta rahega.” …Just the kind of dialogue that his fans love!

He added that there had been a spree of romantic films in his career, and he realised he was getting lethargic. “I wanted to be part of films that would take my fitness to the next level. So, whether I need to work out excessively to look hefty, gain weight, or even lose it, I am game. Even though I am aware that this [fluctuation of weight] is harmful for the body, such roles are satisfying,” he signed off.
