The big day is finally here as the twelfth season of controversial reality show Bigg Boss is set to premiere tonight. Anchored by Salman Khan, this season of the show is expected to be even more engrossing as ‘vichitra jodis‘ is the concept of Bigg Boss 12. Six pairs, hence, will be participating in the show while celebrities will enter solo.
Out of the 17 contestants, celebrities including Dipika Kakar, Karanvir Bohra and S Sreesanth will also participate in the show. As per the format of Bigg Boss, participants will battle it out to survive 100 days under the constant glare of multiple cameras.

Here’s the final list of contestants of Bigg Boss 12:
Dipika Kakar
Best known for her role in the television series Sasural Simar Ka, Dipika is reported to be one of highest paid contestants of the season. Speculation surrounding her participation did the rounds earlier while her husband Shoaib Ibrahim confirmed the news last week.
Srishty Rode
Srishty Rode, who appeared in the shows Ishqbaaz and Punar Vivah - Ek Nayi Umeed, was supposed to participate with her boyfriend Manish Naggdev but the deal didn’t work out ultimately. The actress will thus enter the house alone.
S Sreesanth
Former cricketer S Sreesanth is all for reality shows as Bigg Boss 12 is his third stint in this field. Sreesanth has also participated in the stunt-based reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi and dance-based reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa previously.
Karanvir Bohra
Considering the fact that Karanvir Bohra has a massive fan following, the actor is certainly one of the strong contenders this season. Karanvir has appeared in the television shows Saubhagyavati Bhava, Kasautii Zindagii Kay and Qubool Hai.
Neha Pendse
Soon after actor Neha Pendse’s entry into Bigg Boss 12 was confirmed, she said that she isn’t doing the show because she is out of work. Instead, she explained that she has often been known as “snooty and introvert” and decided to participate in the show to familiarize the audience with herself. Neha appeared in the shows Partners Trouble Ho Gayi Double and Family Time With Kapil Sharma.
Anup Jalota and Jasleen Matharu
Singer Anup Jalota decided to participate in Bigg Boss 12 to regularize his fitness regime and lose weight. Yes, that’s true. Jasleen Matharu, who performs with Jalota at several events, will also contest with him. Several quarters, in fact, insist that Jalota is dating Jasleen but no confirmation has been provided on this subject though. We’ll get to know soon, nevertheless.
Sourabh Patel and Shivashish Mishra
Apart from celebs, commoners will participate in the show as well – Madhya Pradesh-based Sourabh Patel and Shivashish Mishra are the best of friends. Sourabh is a farmer while Shivashish operates his personal business.
Romil Chaudhary and Nirmal Singh
Haryana-based Nirmal Singh is a police officer while his friend Romil Chaudhary is a lawyer. What a combination! Seems like this ‘vichitra jodi’ will leave no stone unturned to entertain the audience.
Saba Khan and Somi Khan
Saba Khan and Somi Khan are sisters and hail from Jaipur. Despite sharing a personal relationship, Saba and Somi have taken the Bigg Boss 12 challenge in their stride and hence, have decided to emerge victoriously.
Deepak Thakur and Urvashi Vani
Best friends, lawyer and a policeman and sisters – several jodis are participating in the show but Deepak Thakur’s and Urvashi Vani’s relationship is unique. Deepak is a singer and has provided vocals to songs of Gangs of Wasseypur while Urvashi is his ardent fan. Nice, no?
In the meantime, the drama in the house, in fact, has already begun even before its premiere. In a new twist, four contestants have already entered the house - former Roadies contestants Kriti Verma and Surbhi Rana along with commoners Roshmi Banik and Mittal Joshi. The voting and elimination process has also started and while no official confirmation has been provided on the final selection so far, reports suggest that Roshmi and Surbhi have garnered the highest number of votes.
Bigg Boss 12, unlike its previous seasons, will air at 9 pm every day.
